Beaches Enjoy the Sun & the Ocean
Balok Beach Breezy Strong Winds
Popular for its windsurfing activity, Balok beach is one of must visit beaches in Pahang for those kite & wind surfing lovers. If you are not one of those people, worry not because there are other activities you can do here such as boat fishing, kite flying, swimming or you can just relax at the beach while enjoying the view of the ocean.
Batu Hitam Beach Black Stones on the Beach
Known for its stretch of black stones, Batu Hitam Beach (Black Stone Beach) is around 5 mins drive from Balok. There are restaurants where you may have your evening treat with your friends or family while enjoying the breezy wind with the view of the ocean. Some activities that you may try while you’re at the beach are flying kites, riding ATV and swimming.
Teluk Chempedak Beach White Sandy Beach
One of the main attraction here in Kuantan is the Teluk Chempedak Beach. With its beautiful white sandy beach, it attracts a lot of visitors from all over Malaysia. Its popular amongst the locals, so expect to be very crowded on weekends. If you are a morning person, do have a morning stroll here and watch the sun rise over the South China Sea.
Sepat Beach Long Stretch White Sandy Beach
A very long stretchy white sandy beach. Its famous for the annual beach run and also those who loves camping & picnic. If you want to spend time with your family by having a picnic, you should consider this place.
Caves & Hills Hike & Explore the Nature
Panorama Hill Enjoy the Sunrise at the Top
Located in Sungai Lembing, Panorama Hill offers you amazing view from the top. Its 271 metres tall and only takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour to reach the top (depending on your stamina level). Best to hike in the morning if you want to take pictures of the sunrise & the surrounding area filled with clouds.
Pelindung Hill Evening Walk with Friends
Situated near Teluk Chempedak and the town, this is the place for the locals do their morning or evening jog. For those who love nature, there is a trekking trail to the top of the hill and to the Teluk Chempedak beach for you to explore.
Charas Cave Beauty of a Limestone Cave
Located in Sungai Lembing, make sure to visit this amazing cave. You will need to climb up flight of stairs to reach the cave which takes up less than 30 minutes. The view from the cave is amazing and you should not miss visiting it. Kindly note that there’s a small fee needs to pay for the entrance.
Rivers & Waterfalls Dip Yourself in the Water
Sungai Pandan Waterfall Have an evening Swim
Also known as Panching Waterfall, this waterfall is a popular picnic & recreational area for the locals. The depth of the water is shallow, so you and your kids may have your swim here. The current can be a bit strong at times especially when of after rain, so do take note of that. And another to note, this place is open from Saturday to Thursday and closed on Friday for maintenance.
Rainbow Waterfall See the 7 Colours
One of the best attraction not to be missed is the Rainbow Waterfall. You’ll be able to see clear the rainbow formed especially in the afternoon. To access this place, you will need to book a tour which will cost you around RM60/pax.
Kuantan river Stroll Along the Riverside
Have a walk along the riverside of Kuantan River and enjoy the amazing scenery of the river. There’s a river cruise available if you wish to take boat ride along the river and visit the mangrove. If you like fishing, make sure to bring along your fishing rod with you.

East Coast Mall Most Visited by Kuantanites
One of most visited mall by the locals in Kuantan. East Coast Mall (ECM) has everything you need from cafes & restaurants, apparel shops, pet shop, movie theatres and many others. Expect a large crowd on weekends so make sure to plan your visit on earlier time or on weekdays.
Kuantan City Mall A Young & Modern Look
A relatively new mall situated in the middle of Kuantan. Its one of the most visited mall and has lots to offer. There are many shops here from clothing & shoes to furniture and many others. You may also find a movie theatre & kids playground here in KCM.
Night life Explore the Night
Teluk Chempedak Night at the Beach
Stroll along the beach with your family or friends at night in Teluk Chempedak. If you want to have your dinner here, worry not as there are many restaurants for you to choose from. Make sure not to miss the fire show on the beach. Its very crowded on the weekends as this is one of the hotspot for the locals to hangout.
Taman Kerang Night Market in the Middle of the Town
A flea market in the middle of the town. There are many stalls here from foods to clothes and many others. If you are looking for a reflexology or massage, look no further, this is the place to go.

Teruntum Tower One and only Tower in Kuantan
Newly built tower and a new landmark in Kuantan. Stand tall at 180m and sitting just beside the Kuantan River, its is now the icon of Kuantan and the pride of the Kuantanites. Make sure to photo boom with the tower before you head back to your hometown!
